Upscale AI Deepens Commitment to SONiC and Open Networking

At Upscale AI, we believe in the power of collaboration. We support multiple open standards, including SONiC, to accelerate AI-native innovation and ensure interoperability.

Upscale AI has been active in the SONiC Foundation since our inception, recently upgrading to Premier membership and taking on leadership roles in the organization.

Aravind Srikumar, senior vice president product and marketing, joined the Governing Board to help shape SONiC’s evolution, accelerate its adoption for AI-scale networks, and advance the Foundation’s work across the AI networking ecosystem.

Deepti Chandra, vice president of product management, strategy & marketing, is now on the Outreach Committee to expand SONiC’s visibility and drive broader industry engagement.

Santhosh K Thodupunoori, director of engineering, joined the Technical Steering Committee (TSC) to further contribute to SONiC’s technical roadmap and advance its developer ecosystem.

Upscale AI has already made significant contributions to the SONiC community, optimizing SONiC for large-scale AI clusters and improving congestion control and reliability for deterministic workloads. Additionally, we were a top contributor at the 2025 SONiC Hackathon, working on advanced debugging and log correlation.

We plan to deploy SONiC across Upscale AI’s entire product portfolio and will continue to actively contribute to the SONiC ecosystem, with a focus on:

• Open-source AI-focused testing and reliability frameworks
• Advancing reference architectures and best practices
• Strengthening software integrity and lifecycle security
