About the Role

We’re seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Product Manager to define and drive the roadmap for the next generation of fixed system switches, modular chassis platforms, and rack-scale switch trays that form the backbone of AI infrastructure.

This role is deeply hardware-centric, bridging ASIC architecture, system design, mechanical integration, and large-scale deployment. You’ll own products that sit at the intersection of silicon, systems, and scale — from fixed systems to multi-rack modular fabrics connecting thousands of accelerators.

This is a highly technical leadership role ideal for a product manager fluent in system design trade-offs, mechanical/electrical design, cost optimization and hyperscale customer requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the roadmap for next-generation fixed, modular, and rack-scale switching systems, spanning top-of-rack to large-scale AI and HPC fabrics.
  • Translate silicon capabilities (SerDes, FEC, buffering, radix, thermal/power envelopes) into differentiated system architectures and product specifications.
  • Lead architecture and product definition for disaggregated platforms — including chassis, fabric modules, and integrated switch trays — ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and performance.
  • Own full product lifecycle from concept through NPI, coordinating electrical, mechanical, and thermal design to optimize cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering and manufacturing partners on signal integrity, system qualification, and high-speed interconnect validation & cost optimization.
  • Engage closely with hyperscalers and AI infrastructure operators to capture real-world system requirements and translate them into actionable features such as optical readiness, telemetry visibility, and modular scalability.
  • Build strong ecosystem partnerships across ASIC, optics, cooling, and ODM domains to ensure cohesive product integration and roadmap alignment.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across ASIC, hardware, firmware, mechanical, software, and supply chain teams; demand planning, forecast, pricing and product readiness metrics.
  • Act as the voice of the system, balancing architectural vision with execution detail to maintain technical coherence and business impact across product lines.

Required Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Hardware Program Management, or Technical Marketing across high-performance networking and compute systems.
  • Proven success defining, launching, and scaling fixed and modular switching platforms — from top-of-rack systems to multi-chassis architectures — delivering measurable performance and cost leadership.
  • Deep technical fluency in network systems, including radix design, buffering, SerDes/FEC pipelines, and cost optimization.
  • Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical design, with practical experience in airflow, thermal management, power delivery, and SI/PI optimization for high-density switch and tray systems.
  • Experience preferred with ODM and OEM partners, including Accton, Celestica, Supermicro, Gigabyte driving NPI readiness, design validation, and yield optimization.
  • Prior engagement with system and networking leaders such as Cisco, Arista, and HPE, shaping product definitions that bridge silicon capabilities with hyperscale deployment needs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of rack-scale architectures (ORv3, DC-SCM, power shelves, liquid-cooling, and cold-plate designs) and their integration into modern AI data centers.
  • Fluent in AI and HPC interconnect paradigms, spanning scale-up fabrics and scale-out networks.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership, driving execution across ASIC, hardware, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams, while engaging directly with hyperscalers and ecosystem partners to align technology, cost, and scale objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (MBA or equivalent experience a plus).
  • Experience producing PRDs, pricing, demand planning, forecasting, manufacturing, supply chain teams; and product readiness metrics.
  • Passion for building open, efficient, and scalable AI infrastructure from silicon to rack.
